Steve changes a tyre on Hayley's bike to improve her traction in the muddy conditions.

At the Le Mans style start, the riders run 800m to their bikes. To help Andy spot his bike Hayley took a large Russian flag to wave!

Hayley signalling to Andy where his bike is.

Still waiting for the runners to arrive...

...still waiting...

... and here they come!

Andy (beige shirt, far side of track) grabs his bike and heads off onto the course.

A few hours later and Hayley is well under way.

Hayley powering up the home straight (out of the saddle in fact!).

Hayley is in the last few yards.

Entering the timing tent at the end of her lap. Competitors must walk the last few yards.

Sunday morning 4am: Steve (looking knackered) having a quick cup of tea before setting out on a dawn lap.

Sunday, 5.55am: Half way round the course approaching a tough climb.

Steve heads off up the Power Bar climb....

...and up...

...45 minutes later Steve approaches the arena.

Dave takes over from Steve and heads off on his Sunday morning lap.

Damon has crossed the line for the final time and there's nothing much more to do...

...except ride more bikes! This is the Kona Hotrod.
