2006
Oliver was Christened on Sunday 5th February 2006. There are some pictures from the day here (and the original invitations etc. here).
2005
Early in December we took Oliver shopping for our Christmas Tree.
On September 8th Oliver was born! There is a description of the labour here in Steve's blog.
Four days before our baby was due we took a day trip to Bakewell in Derbyshire: home of the famous Bakewell Tarts and Puddings. You can read more about it here.
We spent the first weekend of July in London where we went to the Live8 concert and an opera. You can read more about our weekend here.
The Saab Salomon Mountain Mayhem 24-Hour mountain bike race took place on 25/26 June. There are some photos from the weekend here,
We spent the Spring Bank Holiday weekend with friends in the Lake District. There are some photos here.
Saturday 14th May was Steve's birthday. We celebrated with a trip on the "Folk Train".
On Easter Sunday we went to Steve's Mum's house for an Easter Egg Hunt.
On Good Friday we followed a local tradition when we walked up Rivington Pike.
In February we revealed that we were expecting our first child after the first ultrasound scan.
2004
We spent Christmas 2004 in the Czech Republic. You can read more about it and see some photos here.
"The Night It Snowed In Rio" was the theme of Steve's company Christmas party.
We didn't miss the chance to go on a tour of Robinsons Brewery here in Stockport, including a free beer tasting!
In November we went to a Comedy Evening in aid of various mental health charities.
As the Glastonbury Festival clashed with Mountain Mayhem this year, we decided to sample the diverse range of "roots" music on offer at the Cambridge Folk Festival instead.
Saab Salomon Mountain Mayhem 2004 took place over the weekend of 26/27 June. Hayley rode to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. It turned out to be a very muddy weekend!
Spring Bank Holiday was spent in Dorset with some of Hayley's family.
In May Steve celebrated his 40th birthday in the Lake District.
Hayley got a surprise when Steve told her he was taking her to Dublin for her birthday.
In April we visited the Grand National horse race in Liverpool.
In March we tried our hands at snowboarding in Livigno, Italy. But some of us ended up with a sore butt!
The first thing we did in
2004 was visit the Bridge Inn,
a place of great romantic significance to us!
